How to connect Poool Engage with Piano Analytics?

The Poool Engage connector to Piano allows you to send data to your Piano Analytics Dashboard.

Once this connector is activated, you can easily find the data in your Analytics tool, in order to analyze the performance of the actions set up with Poool.

How to set up the Poool x Piano connection?

On the integration side, it couldn't be simpler! You just need to add the following configuration line to your script configuration.

engage.config('pianoAutoTrackingEnabled', true);

To ensure that events are properly tracked, you will need to make sure the "Events" plugin is activated in your Piano Analytics Dashboard.

How does the data flow?

On the Poool side, we use self_promotion type events:

self_promotion.impression for all element impressions
self_promotion.click for all interactions with the element

As well as the following variables:

For Engage, the onsitead_campaign variable will take the value: Engage_poool
onsitead_creation corresponds to the Engage element name
onsitead_variant corresponds to the action

Piano "impressions" correspond to the "Views" indicator in the Dashboard statistics section (= paywall_seen event)

Where to find the data?

Content > On-site advertising > Self-promo campaigns

With details by:

Creations = Engage element name
Variants = button or clickable area

To make it easier to read your results on Piano Analytics for action buttons, we recommend defining the ID of the buttons or clickable areas of your elements.

Once this configuration is in place, you are able to track the performance of your campaigns in your Piano Analytics account.
