# How do I create an A/B test with Poool Access?

In your Poool Access platform, you have the ability to activate A/B tests for each of your reader segments. The goal is to allow you to validate or invalidate a hypothesis, and thus define optimization strategies.

With Poool, you can set up these tests in just a few clicks!

||| Currently, the tool offers the ability to test between two versions (scenario A and scenario B).

# Several test criteria to consider

You can test several elements:

* The **offers** presented to your readers: which one is the most convincing?
* The **user journey**: which discovery path is the most effective?
* The **appearance of your wall**: which design has the most impact?
* **The messages**: which text should be preferred?

|| A/B testing is activated for each of your user segments (all users, native or custom segments).

# Activating an A/B test on the Dashboard

Activating an A/B test is done within the same context, on two different scenarios. It's very simple:

* Define your two scenarios, with the two versions you want to test
* Activate Scenario A
* Activate Scenario B => When you activate the second scenario, you will be prompted to adjust the reader distribution between the two
* Select "Update" and there you go 🎉, your A/B test is active!

| Remember the scenario 'duplication' feature, which allows you to easily replicate the settings from scenario A into your scenario B and only modify the elements you want to test.
