How to manage priority of elements in Engage ?
If multiple Engage elements share the same display conditions and are eligible for the same placement, the priority between those elements comes into play.
With Poool Engage, you can manage the display order of these elements on the same page or within the same placement.
With Engage, you can manage priority logic in several ways :
Use the "with a priority" display condition :
In the display conditions, you will find the following condition :

This condition allows you to define a priority order when multiple elements are eligible for the same placement.
Let’s take an example:
- you have a first element, “Element 1”, which should be displayed in a target placement called “.placementA”.
- you have a second element, “Element 2”, which should also be displayed in that same target placement, “.placementA”.
- the “.placementA” placement is a predefined container inserted between two paragraphs

You want the first element to be displayed before the second one.
The display conditions for the first element will be:

And for the second element:

With these conditions, elements will be displayed such as the following diagram, Element 1 having a higher priority than Element2:

If you switch the priority between both elements, Element2 will be display above Element1.
Use other conditions to work on priority :
If you want to display only one element when multiple elements share the same display conditions, using additional conditions will allow you to define the desired behavior.
For example, if you want to display the first element by default, but give priority to the second element during a specific period (a temporary campaign), you can use the “For a certain date” condition on each element.
In this case, Element2 would have the following display conditions:

And on Element1:

In this way, Element2 will take precedence over Element1 for the duration of the campaign, and Element 1 will resume being displayed at the end of the campaign.
