When you create a scenario on the modification page, you will be asked to add a 'maximum scenario duration'.
The maximum duration of a scenario (in days) has an important role as it relates to the maximum number of days during which the reader is blocked at the final stage of a scenario before it restarts.
If the reader doesn't reach the final stage of the scenario and the maximum number of days of duration has passed, the scenario will be reset. If this happens, their engagement score will be recalculated and their profile redistributed into the relevant segment so that, in future, they are given the scenario that suits them. Of course, if this profile is given a custom group, it will be this that decides the native segment scenario.
